Teenage Wasteland - RDC

TeenAge WasteLand tells the story of how todays teens think and feel about their world. In focus groups and as individuals, Rochester area teens shared their views on school, relationships, peer pressure, partying and other aspects of their lives. Teenagers often feel like their opinions are unimportant, but Teenage Wasteland is meant to be a catalyst for conversation. Rochester Dance Company combined their recorded voices with rock, pop, jazz and hip-hop music to give you the facts and let you be the judge. Then, three nationally known choreographers Sherry Zunker, Harrison McEldowney and Jeremy Plummer completed the show with compelling, emotional dance numbers that thrill teens and adults alike. The end result is a fast-paced, exciting and thoroughly entertaining show that catches each audience member by surprise -- whether you are a teen today, were one yesterday, or will be one tomorrow. Teenagers often feel like their opinions are unimportant, but Teenage Wasteland is meant to be a catalyst for conversation.
